“ We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Sorso. The chef talked to us about the menu and recommended some amazing wines. Each dish we ordered was perfectly balanced and the service was super friendly as well. Great hole in the wall find! ”
“ We had a great night at Sorso with the chef Michael. He helped us curate a wine flight just like we imagined and paired with fresh amazing food. Especially the octopus was **chef’s kiss** ”
“ Great food experience and the chef comes directly to the table to explain the menu to you with the explanation of the special of today. Ambiance very cozy and quiet and superb wine! Highly recommended with not so high prices for NYC! Very high quality Italian food that tastes as good a to be in Italy and I am Italian so I know! ”
“ The chef was really nice and educated us on all of the wines he handpicked from Italy. We had the gewurztraminer which had hints of lychee and was quite delicious. The staff were also very caring and the vibes were really good. Had a good time here. Made us feel at home. Come support! :) ”
“ lowkey wine bar hidden gem. not too busy on a wednesday and great wine and food selection. we went for a happy hour so didn’t try much food other than the olives (which were great and well seasoned). very cozy feel and they make you feel as part of the family. i’d go back any day. good for a catch up or date night. tasting menu available too. ”
“ It’s been a while since we eat at a restaurant in NYC that felt so personal, chilled and cozy. Very nice food authentic Italian food, great wine menu and a warm welcome from the chef and his staff. We can’t wait to go back. ”
“ I have been meaning to come in as I walk this street quite often... what a wonderful experience! I sat alone, the server offered me a fabulous Italian wine typically sold by the bottle but I was able to enjoy a glass. The hamachi was incredible. The presentation with caviar and flowers were just the precursor for what was in store. The owner was warm and inviting and exactly what you would expect from a neighborhood Greenwich Village spot. I found my new snack spot for a small bite and glass of Italian wine. ”
“ Great little Italian wine bar! Service was friendly and efficient (shoutout to Michael), charcuterie & cheese platter was beautiful, as well as their selection of bruschetta. Perfect for a catch up with a friend or a glass of wine after the work day. Only thing to note is the sound level, music voices was a little loud at times (so might not be as suited for a first date). All in all definitely recommend! ”
